Freddie Wong and friends release Part 2 of their Modern Warefare short film series “Frozen Crossing.” If you haven’t seen PART 1 do yourself a favor and check it out now.

Kudos to the team for their 2nd installment. Really great to see indie film makers producing high quality shorts like these.

Gone is the Saving Private Ryan-esque intense shaky cam warfare we all saw and loved from the Halo: ODST short. It is replaced with a slower more methodical pace, indicative of the journey a soldier must take to become a Spartan III.

Justin (SixOkay) has done another great breakdown about this short. He explains a great deal of nuances that many of us probably didn’t see. Check it out here.

Assassin’s Creed Initiation is an original fan film created by TheDuoGroup. (Not an official video.) Initiation follows Altair as he performs the final perilous steps, which all apprentices must pass before entering the Brotherhood.

“Initiation” takes place before Altair has received the coveted title of “Hashshashin.” Like all young men, Altair aspired to leave his mark on the world. After years of grueling training, fear and anticipation course through his veins. Anticipation, because he understands that this is the last rite of passage towards brotherhood. Fear, because he knows that though hundreds of apprentices have reached this point, few come back alive.
