So remember when you were a kid and nerf guns were the best thing since G.I. Joes.  

I used to be in Cubs Scouts and whenever we had a troup meeting at this kid Jack’s house, it was like a foam dart war.  You had the single shot pistols, the bow and arrow launchers, the ones that shot not-so-soft balls at higher then safe speed, and finally the “King” of them all…the over the shoulder bazooka.

Anyway, so I recently purchased the new Nerf N-Strick Mavrick which reopened me up to the thrill of firing a gun but not killing anyone….just slightly annoying them.  I’ve been firing the thing at anything I can find, and to tell you the truth, I’m like the guy in Wanted and can curve my darts around people and objects.  I think its my calling.  As I did some research on the Mavrick gun I purchased, I found two things.

First, it seems like the Mavrick is everyone’s go-to gun these days.  Since the colors are kinda of lame, I found a ton of people with “Moded-Nerfs” as they say in the biz.  If I had the time or the talent, I would so do something like this…

These aren’t limited addition Nerf Mavricks….these are painted ones.  How sick is that.  Now to top it all off, I also found what I want for Christmas.  The problem with the Mavrick is that although it holds a lot of darts, you have to cock it everytime.  Its like those old six shooters…..and it shoots six darts….so just consider it a six shooter with larger bullets.

Well, as the six shooter evolved, people realized you could make guns automatically load and fire again.  Thus came the automatic rifle.  Well Nerf has done this by making the Nerf N-Strike Vulcan!!!  The first automati nerf weapon.

Its a freaking gatteling gun.  You can walk around with it strapped to your chest like Rambo, with two sashes of darts draped around you.  No one could stop you.  NO ONE!!!  I hope my girlfriend gets me this for Christmas….which she will probably regret when she breaks up with me for lighting her up with it.
