This weeks (sorry for being late on this) the DuoGroupie of the Week is Linda Cardellini. WHO!? WHOM!?!? She is the Samantha from the movie Grandma’s Boy who plays a hot, young, video game project manager sent in to make sure the gaming project of the century “Eternal Death Slayer 3″ comes out on schedule.
Did I mention that she does a scene in the movie where she sings “Push It” by Salt n’ Pepa? No? Well, its a pretty hillarious scene in the movie where the above image only depicts about half of what she does. Anyway, the character she plays ends up getting with the protagonist of the movie…which doesn’t make sense to me, but hey its hollywood!
Linda IRL (Spencer Note: Mitch, that means “In Real Life”) is an accomplished actress who has recently been doing a stint on ER. She was born in Cali and is of Italian/Irish decent. She got her first real break doing the show “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999. She is also ranked by FHM as 93rd in their “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2006″.
VAVOOM!! Anyway, you may be asking yourself, “Wait, I know her from something else that is game related,” and I would say “YOU’RE RIGHT!” Linda has a wide background in the video game industry. She played the voice of Ursula in the RPG Gladius.
Also, Linda played Velma in the live action Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed movie (Spencer’s Note: This is in Graham’s top 5 favorite movie).
….which became a video game….
Anyway, so what is my relation to Linda Cardellini? Well, in 1993 Linda was a contestant on The Price Is Right in which she won a fake fireplace. THAT SAME YEAR, my parents replaced our fireplace in our house with a FAKE FIREPLACE!!! So from 1993 on, both Linda Carellini and I had a fake fireplace in our homes! THE CONNECTION IS MADE!!!
Well, that is that. Congratulations to Linda Cardellini for being this weeks DuoGroupie of the Week! We look forward to you sneaking in and out of the gaming industry in the future.
(GET IT?!?!? Sneaking around, because she was Velma in Scooby Doo? And they sneak around?!?! No? Too far off? Ah well, I got tired of writting and spell checking… deal with it.)

“I got tired of writting and spell checking”…guess you didn’t make it this far…
