The Duo Groupie of this Week is Olivia Munn the host of G4’s Attack of the Show! I have no clue what Attack of the Show! is about.  It sounds very much like some marketers put a bunch of movie names in a hat, pulled one out, and slapped the word show behind it because they were to hung over tired to think of something creative.

Olivia Munn is basically a model/actress who found her big break by appealing to teenage gamers the world over.  In fact, she admits to not really being very good at gaming.  We are not going to hold this lack of experience against her, because where she lacks experience in games, her fans lack experience in things I am SURE she is experienced in.  So its an equal trade.

I will say this though, she has ripped off some of her more creative competitors.  If you read our Duo Groupie of the week post two weeks ago, you would have been introduced to Jessica Chobot, who achieved her fame by putting her lips and tongue on things that gamers are interested in.  Anyway, well it seems Olivia Munn has copied Jessica’s cue.

Yep, we made out once.  I was blacked out, she wanted me, it happens a lot.  Anyway back to the subject, Olivia Munn is basically doing what she can to get her way to the top, which I respect.  She fains interest in video games on G4, has to go to Comic Cons and Conventions in order to promote herself, and she dones constumes to gain nerd media attention.  The constumes aren’t all that bad…..

Until you consider the trend that she inspired………

So I may be sounding pretty negative about Olivia Munn at this point, but here is where things change.  First, I will say that her self sacrifice has gotten her into where I assume she ultimatly wants to be, and life takes sacrifices.  She has already been in every major male publication (Maxim, Men’s Health, Playboy (with a top on) and has been on at least two TV shows.  She is due to costar next to Rob Schneider in Big Stan. 

Wait….Rob Schenider still gets payed to make movies?! 

Anyway, now for my connection to Olivia.  You see, Olivia Munn once dated actor Bryan Geenberg.  Bryan Greenberg was one of the actors in the movie The Perfect Score.  The Perfect Score was a movie about kids trying to cheat on their S.A.T exams.  I took the S.A.T. exam!  THE CONNECTION IS MADE!

Anyway, there is one more thing to note here.  As I’ve been doing my research on future Duo Groupies of the Week, I have come across the fact that a lot or part of them are of asian decent.  That being said, I am officially going to announce my “Asians Created Girl Gamer Robots” theory.  It can be summarized as this, Asian men realized long ago that women would not ever be interested in games.  With their superior mathamatical skillz, the truly ingenious Asians created mechanoid female robots that they controlled in order to influence the minds of gamers the world over.  Thus all hot gamer girls really do have a little Asian in them.

Anyway, crazy or not, my thoery makes logical sense.  Either way, she looks good, and has touched a video game controller at least once in her life, thus, I present OLIVIA MUNN, DUO GROUPIE OF THE WEEK!!! Congrats Olivia!
