Check out this latest Halo ODST live action trailer. I love how they went with a “Saving Private Ryan” style of filming. In your face dirty – grungy action. Like many people have said a trailer like this gets people thinking about the canned halo film. If they can make the film in this style they have a winner….but not so fast. You still have to think about what Halo is. The main character is a giant green space marine. His face has never been scene and is (probably) going to stay on the whole film. Let’s just say it is going to be hard to pull that off. Does the film have to be about the Master Chief? I say no. If the film was like this trailer where it followed an ODST squad around that would be pretty cool…but I don’t think a main character with no way to show emotion will fly. I think it would be sweet to run into spartans or Master Chief in the film, but not make it a main part.

Alright enough blabbering. I am trying to figure out who was behind this trailer and Urk over at Bungie.net told me “Asylum.” I am not exactly sure if that means Asylum Entertainment or another group. If anyone knows leave a comment. I will keep looking around as well.
