Just like my Saturday nights…

The original series was pretty serious.  The RZA killed it on the soundtrack.  So here I am greatly waiting for the sequel Afro Samurai Resurrection.  Well… it was just like the series, but it failed valiantly in it’s climax.  (Much like I do in “battle” HEYO)

The animation alone is worth watching Resurrection for… the story continues from the original series (which I recommend you watch first) and does an okay job building on the story.  The battle scenes are pretty serious and are something that I don’t see much of in most Japanese anime.  And like most things these days, anime is usually found somewhere on the internet for free, so you can watch Afro Samurai for an hour and not go out to see a terrible movie - which happens to be 90% of the movies in any given year.  So, Go Green! Save your money and watch some anime! Support American made CGI bloodshed!
